Ettrick and Yarrow Community Development Company

Ettrick and Yarrow Community Development Company was formed which allows us to hold property and raise funding to give us an on- going vehicle for some of the schemes identified that would help our valleys.

One of the projects, The Ring Of The Loch Walk At St Mary’s Loch is an 11 km route right round the loch using existing paths and tracks where possible. It was designed with a variety of walking experiences along the route – lochside walks, woodland and moorland – and incorporates as many places of interest around the loch as possible – the March Wood, the Shinglehook Sculptures, St Mary’s Kirkyard, the loch outflow, Dryhope Tower, Cockburn’s Grave and the Dow Linn.

We also have a fleet of e-bikes that can be hired to explore the the wonderful Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys. We also have a variety of maps and leaflets that can be downloaded from our website.
