Morayvia is a voluntary run aerospace visitor centre which opened to the public in 2015. Morayvia was initially formed to preserve the last Nimrod aeroplane at the then RAF Kinloss base, and developed as a heritage centre with a range of air heritage artefacts, in particular related to air heritage in the north of Scotland, Air Search & Rescue & RAF Maritime Patrol.
We also have a mobile planetarium and are developing links with the emerging local aerospace industry alongside the increasing development of family STEM workshops and community events.
The collection now features Sea King, Dragonfly and Wessex helicopters, an Antonov An2 biplane, a Jaguar fast-jet, a 40ft Nimrod front aircraft section, plus other aircraft cockpits including a Herald, Valiant, Jet Provost, Hunter and Vampire.
