Tiroran Community Forest

Tiroran Community Forest

Sea eagles, adventure playground, willow sculptures, a nature trail and stunning vistas – a perfect day out-Tiroran Community Forest has been in community ownership since November 2015.

The purchase of the 789ha forest on behalf of the communities of South West Mull and Iona was made possible by the National Forest Land Scheme, with grants from the Scottish Land Fund and a loan from Social Investment Scotland. One of Mull’s hidden gems - Tiroran Community Forest is a great place to visit with lots to do for all ages!

Park at the main entrance off the B8035 where you will find our beautiful sign made by local artist, Brian Thomas, with a map of the forest to help find your way around.

There are also leaflets available in the information shelter. Before setting out you may wish to spend a few minutes of contemplation by the burn on our welcome bench, created by local craftspeople, Graham Kent and Joe McHugh, with larch and stone from the forest.

Also a popular spot for a picnic!
