West
With a myriad of islands, remote peninsulas and rocky coastlines, the West Coast is a hive of community led tourism projects and initiatives with visitors as well as locals being proud beneficiaries. Islands typically foster an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative opportunities for visitors to readily give something back either in destination or once back at home.
Central
Spanning the central belt of Scotland and taking in our largest cities, industrial heartland and agricultural hinterland, this region has been witnessing community empowerment and development over recent decades with more and more recognising the merit of welcoming visitors and providing much needed services which enhance the visitor experience and derive important local benefits.
South
Arguably a less well known region but one which is now seriously punching above its weight, the South of Scotland is accessible to over 14 million people in the north of England and the central belt of Scotland and is peppered with innovative and some very ambitious community led tourism enterprises each seeking to retain valuable assets and stimulate the local economy.
